Rear subframe

The rear subframe was completely rotten away while the car stood outside for years. There were holes in critical spots. People online advised us not to weld, since this is dangerous!
As a result, I end up ordering a new one from minispares.com together with some other parts.
The subframe was painted, and I used a bitumen undercoating for the inner side of the frame, so as not to let it rust again.

Front Subframe

In the last months, both subframes were dismounted and all the parts got cleaned or exchanged.The front subframe is completely original, except for new discs, rubbers, screws and bearings.

The rubbers got replaced by teflon material.

Spray jobs

Today, we tryed chrome spray on some items, which went surprisingly good!

Past 2 days, we were busy with some dismantling of the interior and we revised the horn and oil filter head (and tube).

First decent spraywork

After painting the parts with a brush, they didn't look too good.
Everything was resanded and resprayed with a spray can. Looks much better now!

Carburettor

Today, the Carburettor was restored by my dad. Not the easiest part to handle, but all pieces were cleaned and the rust was removed. Everything was polished and looks shiny.
